Livestreaming without a broadband connection
Recently we livestreamed a special service for one of our repeat clients, the Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul – Celebrating the Integration of the Province of Rosalie Rendu.
The venue was a church in North London, and our site visit revealed one significant challenge – the broadband upload speed was only around 300Kbps (around 0.3Mbps). We knew we’d be livestreaming to YouTube, so at least 3Mbps upload speed would be required.
No problem! We’re able to provide a mobile broadband connection that concatenates the available 4G phone signals at the venue, and turns them into a reliable upload connection.
The livestream went ahead with no problems – the primary audience was the Daughters’ new partner order, based in Australia. See the livestream on YouTube, below.
