A super speedy smooth shoot
Sometimes when filming drama scenarios for training there are delays due to forgotten lines, script changes, and general technical issues.
But our shoot last week at Elsevier in Camden was one of the smoothest we’ve ever had, thanks to a brilliant performance from actress Gemma Stevens and client Femi Oyebode, Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Birmingham.
The project is ‘Sims’ Symptoms in the Mind: An Introduction to Descriptive Psychopathology’ 5E – Femi and Gemma were acting doctor / patient interviews for an online training resource, and the nature of the content – psychiatric disorders – made Gemma’s performance quite harrowing.
Each of their four 8 minute scenarios were filmed in one take with two cameras, boom mics for each and KinoFlo and Dedo lighting. Amazing!
