BAAF/The Children's Society had undertaken a study
about adopted people's search for identity and reunion, in
collaboration with the School of Social Work at the
University of East Anglia.
The results of the study were first reported at a
conference held in London in March 2000; we filmed the
conference, editing a 40 minute video from the accounts of
adopted people who spoke.
Searching Questions: Identity, Origins and Adoption:
this book and video are both based on a unique study about
what motivates some adopted people to search or not. They
highlight the issues involved and provide a greater
understanding of the complexities and feelings that may be
encountered on the way. Find out more here.
