Hired by London agency Metia we’ve produced a webcast today in Bristol for Imprivata, an NHS supplier offering and demonstrating what looked like an immensely useful solution: single sign on access for NHS workers, as well as several security features enabled by Imprivata software.
We set up our 2 camera webcast solution with 3 overhead boom microphones for a rehearsal yesterday, so that the webcast was all ready to go this morning.
All went well and I’m uploading an on demand version to our server now.

Good news today – we’ve been commissioned by Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust to produce a Maternity Tour Video of the East Surrey Hospital maternity ward.
Much of our current work is healthcare-related, for the NHS and other healthcare agencies; we’re working with ICC Lowe on a new product demo film and closely with NHS Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group / NHS North Central London on various projects – more later.

Another corporate two camera shoot – our two JVC GY-HM100 HD cameras – for Atlanta-based agency (R)evolution: filming a discussion between industry leaders from various sectors about the future of the doctor – patient relationship, how technology will change this/is changing it (i.e. patients diagnosing themselves because of improved access to medical information), and the role Pfizer, the end client, and other pharmaceutical companies might play in this.
Great work from Andrew Litt, a lighting cameraman we’ll be working with a lot from now on.

Montacute shoot

HD-DSLR shoot in Montacute
We’ve been using our new slider from Olof Ekbergh at Westside AV, with the EOS 550d, producing brilliant tracking shots for this film about longevity we’re making with nutritionist Sally Beare for AKEA.
We were also using the EX1 / Letus / Nikon combo, to which I have become very attached in the last 18 months (I love my EX1!), but it’s clear to see how the DSLRs will continue to replace the 35mm adapter rigs going forward, and how the inevitable video cameras that incorporate the features of both, like Panasonic’s camera due in Q4 2010, are going to be gobsmackingly good.
I’ll say it again – it’s a brilliant time right now in video production!
And yes, we did find the secret of longevity: according to the regulars at the King’s Arms in Montacute, it’s a local cider called Rough Stuff.
